Dr. Majid Al-Qathami Named Acting Dean of Computer and Information Systems College

The UQU President, Dr. Bakri bin M'atooq Bakri Assas has issued an administrative decision appointing Dr. Majid bin Mohamed Al-Qathami as the acting Dean of the College of Computer and Information Systems. The decision comes within the framework of the developmental momentum underway all over the university. It goes also in line with its keen interest in leveraging its competencies as best as possible, in such a manner that goes in line with the Saudi Vision 2030. 


On other hand, Dr. Assas lauded the dedicated efforts exerted by the ex-Dean of the College of Computer and Information System Dr. Fahad bin Mohamed bin Saad Al-Dossari during his tenure in the deanship, which contributed to the development of educational environment in the college, noting that those efforts had contributed positively to upgrade Umm Al-Qura University, thanks to Allah in the first place and then to the support attached to the university by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. Then he wished Dr. Al-Dossari all success in his coming tenure as the Dean of Information Technology.
  


Further, Dr. Assas congratulated Dr. Majid Al-Qathami on the occasion of designating him as the Dean of Computer and Information Systems College urging him to work diligently to upgrade the college's educational system and develop the works and efforts made by the ex-Dean and he wished him all success in his new tenure. 

 

For his part, Dr. Al-Qathami valued the confidence entrusted in him by the UQU President to assume the tasks of the Dean of the College of Computer and Information System assuring that with Allah's blessing, he will be up to the UQU President's expectations. He lauded the efforts exerted by the ex-Dean Dr. Fahad Al-Dossari stressing that he is going to develop these efforts in line with the Kingdom Vision 2030 and the National Transformation Plan 2020.
