UQU and KAMC Ink Cooperation Agreement in Medical Consultations

Umm Al-Qura University represented by the Consulting Research and Studies Institute(CRSI) and King Abdullah Medical City (KAMC) have signed today Wednesday Jumadal Al-Awal 21, 1439 H corresponding to February 7, 2018 a joint cooperation agreement at the UQU President's office at the university campus in Abdyia. The Agreement was signed by the UQU President Dr. Bakri bin M'atooq bin Bakri Assas on behalf of the University and the CEO of KAMC Dr. Abdullah Ghobashi.

 

Following agreement signing ceremony, the UQU President Dr. Bakri Assas lauded such step which aimed at building community partnership between the university and other sectors within the university's mission towards the community. "Thanks to Allah in the first place and then to the support attached to the university by the wise government under the leadership of the guide of her blessed march the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud and his heir apparent and the follow-up and attention of the Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Emir of Makkah HRH Prince Khalid Al-Faisal besides the directives and keenness of the Minister of Education Dr. Ahmed bin Mohamed Al-Issa, the University is always very keen to achieve a positive role and effective participation outside its fences in the bid to achieve the strategic and national objectives enlisted in the Kingdom Vision 2030", he explained, adding that the university will save no effort  in serving the country and its citizens. He then lauded the efforts exerted by the Consulting Research and Studies Institute and those in charge of it in performing their assigned role in providing consultations and training opportunities for the sons of this nation in different fields.  

 

In turn, the CEO of KAMC Dr. Abdullah Ghobashi appreciated the efforts exerted by the University under the directive and follow up of the UQU President Dr. Bakri Assas to consolidate such constructive partnerships between the different colleges of the university and its research center with the different sectors. He explained that the cooperation agreement which was signed with the university represented by the Consulting Research and Studies Institute is falling within the  plan set by the KAMC to provide training opportunities and qualification for the national cadres making use of the programs launched by the university via its institutes, centers, scientific capacities and expertise the university filled with. He then praised the efforts exerted by the Dean of the Consulting Research and Studies Institute in the university and those in charge of the Institute for activating such partnership between the two sides.

     

Within the same vein, the Dean of the Consulting Research and Studies Institute Dr. Ali bin Mohamed Al-Shaari expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to UQU President Dr. Bakri Assas for his support and close follow up of the Institute and its assigned role explaining that the Institute includes a number of training units in the medical, engineering, educational and other different fields. He Added that it also includes a number of consultants and experts in different fields who are ready to provide training and qualification for the national cadres and hone skills of the youth in different specialties.   

 

He underlined that the contract signed between the CRSI and KAMC in Makkah is set eyes to achieve cooperation between the two parties to provide services and expertise of UQU consultants in the medical and health field besides organizing the work of the consultant physicians on par time work bases. The agreement that lasts for three years, includes also providing training programs and consultations to boost KAMC employees performance.

 


 It should be mentioned here that the agreement signing ceremony was attended by the Dean of Consulting Research and Studies Institute Dr. Ali bin Mohamed Al-Shaari, the Institute's Vice Dean for Development and Business Implementation Dr. Sahl bin Abdullah Waheeb, the  Institute's Vice Dean for Professional Accreditation Dr. Raed bin Abdurrahman Shalwala, the Supervisor General of Consulting Studies Dr. Mohamed Yousef, the Dean of Applied Medical Sciences Dr. Ayman Al-Sayegh, the Dean of Public Health and Health Informatics College Dr. Waheeb Al-Harbi and from the side of the KAMC , The CEO of the Financial Affairs Eng. Zhafir Al-Sharif, the Director of Legal Affairs Mr. Read Al-Mijmaj, and the Director of Marketing and Corporate Communication Mr. Hatim Al-Masoudi.
