Umm Al-Qura University, represented by the College of Shari’a and Islamic Studies, is to hold an international conference on charitable work: purposes, rules, and applications, with the participation of Al-Hoda Center for Islamic Legal Studies on Charitable Work, event organizer. The conference is scheduled to be in Makkah on the first two days of the month of Safar of the Hijri year 1440 AH, God willing.
The conference seeks to achieve the following objectives:
- Highlighting and rooting the Islamic legal purposes and the general issues of charitable work.
- Promoting the regenerative course of contemporary charitable work jurisprudence in light of the Islamic legal purposes and rules as well as the applicable laws.
- Enhancing the leadership of the KSA in charitable work and humanitarian action.
