The General Directorate of Health Affairs in Makkah represented by the Public Health Department has concluded a cooperation agreement with Al Zaidi Chair for Research in Rheumatic Diseases at the College of Medicine, Umm Al-Qura University (UQU). The agreement was signed by the Director General of Health Affairs in Makkah Dr. Mustafa bin Jameel Baljoun and the Supervisor of Al-Zaidi Chair Dr. Hani bin Osman Al-Moalim in the presence of a number of officials from the two sides.   

The agreement was intended to achieve fruitful cooperation between the Ministry of Health and Al Zaidi Chair for Research in Rheumatic Diseases in providing services and organizing workshops and courses to achieve efficiency in the skills of the Rheumatic Diseases amongst the physicians of the primary health centers in the region besides enabling the Chair to organize training courses and workshops for various physicians so as to achieve the objectives of this cooperation. That is to be added to providing experts in the field of Rheumatology to set rules and guidelines to provide treatment for Rheumatic diseases.

On this occasion, the Supervisor of Al-Zaidi Chair Dr. Hani Al-Moalim extended his thanks and appreciation to the Director General of Makkah Health Affairs Directorate Dr. Mustafa Baljoun and to the UQU President Dr. Bakri Assas for their continuous support provided for the Chairs works and programs.
