Minister of Education Orders Lending of  Prince Sultan Charity Complex for Girls to Al-Lith University College

Pursuant to the directives of the Minister of Education Dr. Ahmed bin Mohamed Al-Eesa on lending Prince Sultan Charity Complex for Girls comprising of two building (24/5-26/5) and  multi-purpose hall to the university branch in Al-Lith, the President of Umm Al-Qura university has ordered the UQU Vice President for Branches Dr. Abdul-Majid Al-Ghamdi and a number of officials in the departments of services & facilities and Safety to check on, receive the buildings and start to transfer female students of Al-Lith University College to the building.  


Meanwhile, UQU President Dr. Bakri Assas lauded the support attached to the university by the government of the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques in such manner which contributed to providing university education in the university main campus in Makkah and its branches at Jamoum, Al-Lith, Adhm and Al-Qunfudhah provinces. He also lauded directives of the Advisor to the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques, the Emir of Makkah HRH Prince Khalid Al-Faisal and the Deputy Emir of Makkah HRH Prince Abdullah bin Bander and their permanent follow-up of the university's projects and activities. Additionally, he praised follow up of the Minister of Education Dr. Ahmed Al-Eesa to the different activities and programs of the university. It didn't escape his notice to commend cooperation and keenness of Director General of Education in Makkah Mr. Mohamed bin Mahdi Al-Harthi and the Director of Education in Al-Lith Mr. Maraie bin Mohamed Al-Barakati to take advantage of the educational complex.  


For his part, the UQU Vice President for Branches Dr. Abdul-Majid Al-Ghamdi paid an inspection visit yesterday to the educational complex which will be allotted to female students of Al-Lith University College. He was accompanied by the Dean of Al-Lith University College Dr. Mohamed bin Abdullah Al-Malki, a number of officials from the UQU Vice Presidency for Branches, and the representatives of the Ministry of Education.

  

Dr. Al-Ghamdi said they have closely checked on the building, and that buildings spaces will be distributed and updated to meet the academic requirements. He added the building will be equipped with study seats, smart boards, scientific laboratories, and administrative offices and will start receiving students by the beginning of the second semester of the current academic year 1438/1439 H. He then lauded the directives and keenness of the UQU President Dr. Bakri Assas for providing proper educational environment in line with the university status.  

 

For his part, the Dean of Al-Lith University College Dr. Mohamed Al-Malki valued concern of UQU President Dr. Bakri Assas to provide proper educational environment  for various sciences indicating that the college has 10 scientific departments including; physics, chemistry, mathematics, English language, family education, Islamic studies, Arabic language, social work, education and psychology and media and accommodating about 7 thousand students with more than 4 thousand female students.
