Yesterday marked the end of the events and workshops of the University Leaders Program organized by KAU Expertise House for Accreditation Consultation and Development with the support of Salem bi Mahfouz Foundation, and in collaboration with UQU Deanship of Academic Development and Quality. Present was the Dean of University Development and Quality Dr. Mohamed Jaafar Thabit.
The workshops lasted for three days in the presence of a number of international trainers including; the Director of Florida Atlantic University's Leadership and Professional Development program Dr. Jeffrey L. Buller who addressed the audience on the principles of the academic leadership, Dean of Faculty Development and International Initiatives at Minnesota University in USA Professor Kenneth Bartlett who spoke about the strategic leadership, Dr. Omar Al-Moamar, Fellow of the Academic Leadership Center at Imam Abdurrahman bin Faisal University who spoke about the disputes management in the academic environment.
Meanwhile, Dean of University Development and Quality Dr. Mohamed Jaafar Thabit said this program takes place simultaneously in three universities and 30 members from the youth leadership of Umm Al-Qura University has benefited from this program. He said workshops included many leadership strategies and skills. He then lauded the support and concern of UQU President Dr. Bakri Assas and the close follow-up of the UQU Vice President for Development and Entrepreneurship Dr. Hani bin Osman Ghazi.
At the conclusion of the program, Dr. Mohamed Jaafar Thabit handed out attendance certificates to the participants.
