The President of Umm Al-Qura University Dr. Bakri bin M'atooq bin Bakri Assas will launch, the scientific symposium organized by the College of Sharia and Islamic Studies in collaboration with the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, tomorrow Wednesday Rabi Al-Awal 18, 1439 H under the title of :"The Work in the Grand Mosque, its rulings, juristic matters and etiquettes", which will discuss 22 scientific papers in the presence of the General President of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and Prophet's Mosque Sheikh Dr. Abdurrahman bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Sudais. The symposium will be held at King Abdul-Aziz Historical Hall at the university campus in Abdyia and will be broadcast via closed-circuit television at Al-Jawhara Hall (Female Section).
Meanwhile, Dr. Assas said organizing such seminar reflects the keenness attached by the wise leadership to the Two Holy Mosques to provide the best services for the pilgrims and Umrah doers indicating that the university will save no effort to undertake its scientific and community role proceeding from its responsibility in this domain and in service of its country and Islamic nation. He expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Excellency the Minister of Education, Dr. Ahmed Bin Mohammad Al-Eesa for approving this symposium, and for his continuing support for all scientific and educational programs implemented by the university. He also thanked the dean and vice deans of the College of Sharia and Islamic Studies in the university and the organizers and participants of this scientific symposium, hoping that its recommendations will meet the desired goals.
Further, Dr. Assas said the symposium will witness participation of a constellation of workers in the Grand Mosques, and a number of researchers in Islamic sharia sciences. He added that the submitted work papers, which will discuss rulings, virtues, and etiquettes of the Grand Mosques, are amounted to 22 papers to held in four scientific sessions.
For his part, the Dean of the College of Sharia and Islamic Studies, Dr. Ghazi bin Morshid Al-Otaibi, said the symposium of the" work in the Grand Mosque, its rulings, juristic matters and etiquettes", which will be organized by the College of Shari'a in collaboration with the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, reflects the keenness of the college in all the contemporary developments of concern to the Islamic nations and their religious values.
He underscored that the symposium is intended to introduce the rulings and virtues of the work in the Grand Mosque to its workers by upgrading their performance level in this regard and directing the scientific research to study the issues related to community service. He added that the scientific papers will discuss the following themes; work regulations in the Grand Mosque, relevant juristic matters and the etiquettes of the workers in the Grand Mosque.
At the conclusion, he expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Excellency the Minister of Education, Dr. Ahmed Bin Mohammad Al-Eesa for approving this symposium and for supporting its activities. He extended his thanks to HE the President of UQU Dr. Bakri Bin M'atooq Bin Bakri Assas for his permanent encouragement and close follow-up of the different programs and activities of the college. He also praised the efforts and keenness of HE the General President of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, Sheikh Dr. Abdurrahman bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Sudais for his support to this symposium, praying Allah that it will achieve its set goals and reap the desired fruits.
