The Department of English is pleased to announce the publication of a research study titled ChatGPT and intrinsic motivation in higher education: a TAM-based study. The paper is co-authored by Dr. Abbas Brashi, Associate Professor of Linguistics and Translation at the department, in collaboration with a research team from the Department of Linguistics and Translation at Prince Sultan University. The team includes Dr. Muhammad Afzal, Associate Professor of Applied Linguistics, as the principal investigator, alongside Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus and Professor Dina El-Dakhs, Professor of Applied Linguistics and Chair of the Department of Linguistics and Translation at Prince Sultan University, as co-authors. The study was published in the journal Frontiers in Education on October 1, 2025.
