The Department of English is pleased to announce the publication of a research paper entitled Acquisition and attrition in bilingual vowel systems: evidence from Arabic and English by Dr. Amira Saud Al-Harbi, Assistant Professor of Linguistics at the department, as the principal investigator. The study was conducted in collaboration with a research team from the Department of English Studies at the University of Graz, Austria, comprising Dr. Lisa Kornder, postdoctoral researcher, and Dr. Anouschka Foltz, Associate Professor of English Linguistics, as co-investigators. The paper was published in the journal Frontiers in Language Sciences: Bilingualism on March 11, 2026.
