The creative learning policies implemented across the curriculum of the Department of Tourism and Hospitality have successfully culminated in the participation of approximately 20 male and female students in the Career and Innovation Forum. This achievement was made possible through the generous support of the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics, Dr. Musaab Al-Subhi, and the dedicated guidance of the Head of the Department, Dr. Fatima Al-Maghrabi. Notably, two teams of first-level students qualified for the finals of the Tourism Hackathon, presenting innovative concepts developed through coursework and seminar discussions in the "Tourism Work Ethics", "Event Management", and "Hotel Operations Management" courses. These teams were supervised by Dr. Mohammed Basundawah, Dr. Abdullah Abu Numi, Prof. Dr. Yousry Nabil, Dr. Bayan Munshi, and Mr. Abdullah Al-Zahrani. Additionally, department students from the first, second, and fourth levels showcased five innovative projects at the Tourism Exhibition, held as part of the Career and Innovation Forum, developed under the supervision of Dr. Bayan Munshi and Prof. Dr. Yousry Nabil.
These innovative projects included the "Rafeeq" application; a smart verification system for hotel housekeeping quality and hospitality asset management; the "Sento" capsule (a design proposal to revitalize "Spirit of Saudi" tourist information kiosks); a luxury mountain lodging capsule; an interactive tourism bus; the "Global Destinations with Saudi Features" exhibition; and the "Tourism Minds" initiative, aimed at supporting the employment of people of determination in tourism and hospitality establishments.
