The Department of English is pleased to announce the publication of a paper entitled How Cold Are Your “Cold Feet”? The Effect of Context and Level of Training on the Translation of Idioms by Dr. Abbas Brashi, Associate Professor of Linguistics and Translation at the Department, which was written in collaboration with Dr. Suhad Sonbul, Associate professor of Applied Linguistics at University’s English Language Institute (as corresponding author), Prof. Dina El-Dakhs Professor of Applied Linguistics at Prince Sultan University’s Department of Linguistics and Translation, and Dr. Rezan Alharbi, Director of the Translation Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The paper was published in International Journal of Applied Linguistics on April 30, 2025.
