The students of Engineering and Computer Colleges paid a field visit to the departments of Control and Industrial Security at Al-Qunfudhah Water Desalination Plant on Tuesday 25 Safar 1439 AH. They were accompanied by Dr. Olwey Mahdy, Dr. Amen Abdulshafy, and Eng. Ahmed Al Azeb with the aim of introducing the students to the field works carried out by the plant's engineers in both fields. They were received by the plant's Director of Maintenance, Ali Al-Nashri.
A detailed explanation was given to the students about the control work within the plant, and the industrial security and safety work in it. The students then received an explanation by the plant's Director about the process of water desalination and its stages. They were also able to see the boilers that remove salts through evaporation.
The visit came under the guidance, support and personal follow-up of the Dean of Engineering and Computer Colleges, Dr. Jaber Al-Zahrani, given the importance of linking the theoretical aspect to the practical and field aspect of the college's outputs. It also aimed to emphasize the principle of cooperation and integration between government agencies and institutions.
