"You Are the Professional Initiative": Creative Students Participation in the Quality Week and International Students Week
" You Are the Professional Initiative" was enriched by Tourism and Hospitality Department students' participation in the Quality Week and International Students Week events. Our students designed and set an attractive booth showcasing the cultural and geographical diversity of Saudi Arabia's various regions.
The booth featured a unique activity allowing visitors to have their names written in traditional Arabic calligraphy, which attracted significant attention from both local and international guests. Visitors expressed their admiration for the authentic Arabic art and the warm Saudi hospitality.
This participation was supervised by Dr. Mohammed Basendowh, the Assistant Professor in the Department of Tourism and Hospitality.
"You Are the Professional" initiative was designed to enable students to practice and to perform creative thinking skills by organising events and learning by doing . It can be considered as a sample for department engagement in experiential learning.
This activity reflected the department's commitment to empowering its students with opportunities to interact with the university and international community, enriching their academic and professional skills in the tourism and hospitality sectors
