President of Umm Al-Qura University Dr. Bakri bin M'atooq bin Bakri Assas signed a partnership agreement with the Advisor to the Minister of Labor and Social Development, Supervisor General of the Ministry's Branch in Makkah Dr. Mohamed Hassan Al-Qahtani in the training and advisory fields serving community and education and contributing to efforts of  human building and place development within the framework of the vision intended to boost development wheel in Makkah. Present at the signing ceremony took place in the president's office in Abdyia was the Dean of the College of Community Service and Continuing Education Dr. Khalid Barqawi.  

Meanwhile, President of UQU Dr. Bakri Assas said the agreement falls under the social responsibility of the university to provide its best to serve Makkah and its community indicating that the it will provide courses which will hone skills in the vocational, educational and developmental fields for the targeted groups besides contributing to providing the educational, cultural and social activities and programs  in addition to consultations, research and studies, and  the best investment of  residents energies to help them serve the community and nation through the volunteering opportunities in the partnership field.      

For his part, the Advisor to the Minister of Labor and Social Development, Supervisor General of the Ministry's Branch in Makkah Dr. Mohamed Al-Qahtani said the agreement comes in continuation of several agreements signed between the ministry branch in Makkah with the relevant authorizes wishing for the outcomes of the agreement to meet community requirements. He said the agreement comes to take advantage of the university potentials represented by the College of Community Service and Continuing Education in the social work as an integral part of the ministry's work indicating that they will work to boost employees capabilities and will make use of the university potentials in organizing several executive workshops for the benefit of the region.    

In a similar fashion, the President of UQU witnessed the signing of Memo of Understanding between the College of Community Service and Continuing Education and the  Saudi Health Social Work Association. The agreement was signed by the Dean of Community College Dr. Khalid Barqawi and the Chairman of Board of Directors of the Association Dr. Mohamed bin Mosfir Al-Qarni in the presence of  the Advisor to the Minister of Labor and Social Development, Supervisor General of the Ministry's Branch in Makkah Dr. Mohamed Al-Qahtani
