The Department of Tourism and Hospitality, College of Business and Economics, Umm Al-Qura University (UQU), was awarded the Eurhodip quality sign via its Eurhoqual accreditation. Eurhoqual is a European quality measure instrument used for accreditation based on the framework of the European Foundation for Quality Management system and executed by Eurhodip. Founded in 1988 with the objective to create a platform where organizations can learn from the best European based tourism and hospitality education institutions.The Eurhodip award was officially received Thursday 21/ 4/ 1446 (24/10/ 2024).
The Department went through the Eurhodip prcoess,, which inlcuded attending series of meetings, workshops, writing a self assessment form, affording evidences, adopting a reviewing mechanism, hosting Eurhoqual team to inspect faciliies, develop a face to face deep discussions, and interviewing students, industry representatives (employers), college and department's representatives and leaders.
The Department considered this award as a motivation for further outstanding achievements - in shaa Allah- and to sustain its adopted international educational standards.
