Headed by UQU President: Technical Committee of the Grand Mosque Projects Discusses Developments of Zam Zam Well and Mattaf Projects

President of Umm Al-Qura University who serves also as the Chairman of the Supervisory Committee of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Expansion Project of the Grand Mosque, Dr. Bakri bin M'atooq bin Bakri Assas presided over the 33rd  meeting of the representatives of the Ministry of Interior and Higher Hajj Committee in the project of increasing the Mattaf's accommodation capacity. The meeting which was conducted with the representatives of the Ministry of Interior, higher Hajj committee and a number of relevant authorities, discussed the achievements made in the first week of the Zam Zam well qualification and the completion of increasing the Mattaf's accommodation capacity projects.

 

Meanwhile, Dr. Assas valued the support attached to the Supervisory Committee of the Grand Mosque's Expansion Project by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud, and the Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdul-Aziz. He also valued the directives of the Advisor to the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques, Emir of Makkah Prince Khalid Al-Faisal and the follow-up and supervision of the Minister of Education Dr. Ahmed bin Mohamed Al-Ieesa, underlining that the 33rd meeting  comes to take the advantage of the role of the security and operational bodies and their field experience in the works of Zam Zam well Rehabilitation and to ensure providing safety requirements for the convenience and safety of the pilgrims and visitors of the Grand Mosque.    
 
He went on to add that the contribution of the committee to the development of designs works, supervision of concert works and adherence to safety and professional health standards in the projects of the Grand Mosques comes in line with the directives of the wise leadership to provide the maximum safety means for the pilgrims, revealing that the committee has recruited several national qualified competencies in the fields related to the committees technical and engineering and works. "More than 60 Saudi engineers are supervising the availability of safety requirements at Zam Zam Well Rehabilitation Project", he expounded.    


For his part, the Chairman of the Technical Committee for the Development Projects of the Grand Mosque, Dr. Faisal Wafa said the meeting comes to discuss the works required to be completed at the project of increasing the Mattaf's  accommodation capacity to reach the numbers stated by the Kingdom Vision 2030 and the National Transformation Program 2020 in line with the best methods and styles required and supported by the Government. He added the meeting discuss the achievement made in the first week of Zam Zam Well Rehabilitation Project and service channels.
