President of Umm Al-Qura University Dr Bakri bin Ma'tooq Assas toured the headquarters of the University College in Al-Laith. The tour included the University College, Computer College, Engineering College and Health Sciences College during which he was briefed about lab and classroom preparations. The UQU President was accompanied during the tour by University Vice-President for University Campuses Dr Abdul Majid Saeed Al Ghamedi, Dean of University College in Al-Laith Dr Mohamed bin Abdullah al-Maliki and department heads for university security, employment, maintenance, public relations and information. He met with college deans, vice-deans and teaching members during the tour.

At the start of the tour, the UQU President visited the headquarters of the University College where he was briefed about the facilities of the Health Sciences College and the College of Computer and Engineering. After this, he visited the girls premises of Al-Laith University College.

On this occasion, His Excellency said "The University has mobilized its powers and human and technical resources for presenting the best educational services to students, removing all obstacles and creating a favorable atmosphere for their scientific attainment." He gave tributes to the generous support of the government to the UQU, hailing support of Education Minister Dr Ahmed bin Mohamed Al-Eissa for the UQU programs and activities in all branches in Jamoum, Al-Laith, Adham and Al-Qunfudah, which have a positive impact on the uniqueness of its academic programs.

His Excellency added that the university branch in Al-Laith has a number of scientific majors, which fit the requirements of the labor market in line with the Kingdom Vision 2030. He said the university's different colleges and departments accommodate more than 8,000 students, who study all aspects of the Arabic language and sciences and religious, engineering and health studies. He hailed efforts of the college deans and staff, which have a positive effect on the educational environment in accordance with the highest educational standards, which coincides with the scientific status of the Umm Al-Qura University.
