Umm Al-Qura University, represented by the Department of Tourism and Hospitality at the College of Administration and Economics, participated in the Second Annual Meeting of the [Tourism Education Quality Improvement Initiative 2023] with its (Tourism and Hotel Management) program. The program was recognized as one of the most distinguished academic offerings in the field of tourism education, owing to its unique outcomes both locally and globally. This participation followed the department's successful completion of a series of comprehensive reviews, field visits, and evaluative meetings with students, faculty members, employers, and alumni to assess the department’s educational quality.
Consequently, the College of Administration and Economics, represented by the Department of Tourism and Hospitality, extends its deepest gratitude to the university administration for its unlimited support, represented by the University President, His Excellency Prof. Moadee bin Mohammad Al-Madhab. The College also expresses its appreciation to the Institute of Consulting Research and Studies at the university, represented by its Dean, His Excellency Dr. Mohammad bin Naif Al-Sharif, for their pivotal role in enriching the department's programs. Sincere thanks are also extended to the former Dean of the College of Business Administration, His Excellency Dr. Naif bin Abdulwahab Alawi, and to the faculty and staff of the Department of Tourism and Hospitality, led by the Head of the Department, Her Excellency Dr. Fatima bint Samir Al-Maghrabi, for their outstanding efforts in fostering a world-class educational environment and enabling the department to achieve this honorable distinction.
