On Tuesday, Shaaban 3, 1437H, the UQU President, Dr. Bakri bin Maatooq Assas, honored the Advisor to the University President, Dr. Muhammad bin Saleh Ba-Salamah. The event, that took place at the UQU President Office in al-Abidiyah Campus, was attended by the Vice President for Branches, Dr. Muhammad bin Wassel al-Hazemi, and Advisor to the President, Mr. Essam bin Hassan Marqooshi.

Dr. Assas valued the good efforts made by Dr. Ba-Salamah, wishing him success and good luck with the responsibilities he assumes. "Dr. Ba-Salamah provides an example to be followed by every citizen seeking dedication to his country in general, and to Umm al-Qura University in particular," Dr. Assas said. He lauded the precious contributions made by Dr. Basalamah all through his career in the university, for the sake of his country and community.

"By honoring one of University officials," Dr. Assas added, "we go in line with the good tradition initiated by the wise leadership of this country: to honor and reward outstanding citizens who have shown excellence in all walks of life."

For his part, Dr. Muhammad Ba-Salamah expressed thanks and gratitude for the UQU President, Dr. Assas, for honoring him. "It is such a noble gesture that reflects the respectable approch Dr. Assas adopts with all UQU employees," he said. He extended thanks to the Advisor of the UQU Prsident, Mr. Essam Marqooshi, and all those responsible for that grand edifice: Umm al-Qura University.
