On Thursday 22 Muharam 1439H. corresponding to 12 October 2017 at 9:30, the identifying meeting for the new teaching staff at the Chemistry Department (females section) was held in Al Zahir at the Meetings Halls at the department.
The meeting was initiated with welcoming the new teaching staff and a presentation displaying the administrative regulations in addition to teaching systems, exams affairs, and academic guidance.
The meeting was permeated with an open discussion session via CCTV with Dr. Ismael bin Ibrahim Al Thakafy, the Chemistry Department Head, where he declared the role of the department and its responsibility in promoting the academic level of the students. He also expressed his pleasure for the new colleagues joining of the department to continue the development process. He pointed out that the department hopes that its members have a role in improvement and evaluation processes.
On her part Dr. Tahany Mohamed Bawzir, Vice-Head of Chemistry, presented briefly the accredited study plans of the bachelor program introduced by the department, and the mechanism of preparing study curricula. Additionally, she signaled the bodies concerned with supporting and funding researches. Besides, the teaching staff answered the questions of the audience who praised the meeting for its great benefits.
Furthermore, the meeting was enriched with the active participation of Dr. Shehka Saud Ashur, a professor at the Chemistry Department and Vice-Dean for Educational and Development Affairs. She in turn commended the meeting for the impressive effect it has on enhancing the role of the teaching staff in the educational process to reach a high level of quality. The meeting ended at 11:00 a.m.
