Anesthesia Technology Program's Researcher Mohamed Khairat Bassioni, in association with Lecturer in the Clinical Technology Department at the College of Applied Medical Sciences Dr. Thrwat Helmy, published a research paper in one of the most important sciences magazines in India "Indian Journal of Anaesthesia". The magazine covered the research, Volume 60(5); 2016 May, in pages 337 to 342 in May 2016.
The study was titled "Learning and performance of endotracheal intubation by paramedical students: Comparison of GlideScope® and intubating laryngeal mask airway with direct laryngoscopy in manikins."
It proved that the scientific research is an essential educational strategy for the department to improve educational outputs and to attain a sustainable development of educational quality to be in line with the international accreditation of the study programs (2015-2020).
In the same context, Head of the Clinical Technology Department Dr. Basem Al Sharif hailed support shown by President of Umm Al Qura University Dr. Bakri Bin M'atoog Bin Bakri Assas and Dean of College of Applied Medical Sciences Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Ashshi. Their support was mirrored in achievements made by the College of Applied Medical Sciences.
