The UQU Founding Investment Committee held its second meeting today chaired by the UQU President, Dr. Bakri bin Ma'touq Assas in presence of the committee members to study the UQU investment programs and set out the vision for strategic plans and executive mechanisms in accordance with applicable rules and regulations.
Assas confirmed that the committee currently studies the framework of UQU investments and capabilities that enable it to make return on investment to serve education and research on both short and long term. This would be a revenue stream along with the generous support UQU receives from the wise government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz bin Al Saud and Crown Prince.
Further, Assas stated that UQU is keen to achieve all the objectives of knowledge investment set by the Vice-presidency of Development and Entrepreneurship in the domain of intellectual property and transformation of ideas into products and services to meet market needs in line with National Transformation Plan 2020 and Vision 2030 through startups. He indicated that the UQU Investment Committee is to design plans for activating all investment aspects available.
