In cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs, the College of Social Sciences’ Student Club organised a trip to the Jeddah International Book Fair 2022 on Thursday 15 of December with the attendance of over 120 students from different academic departments (English, Geography, Social Work and Media Studies) and under the supervision of a number of college staff and faculty members. The trip has aimed to promote cultural literacy among students and spark a passion for reading by allowing them to explore rare books and the recent publications from various literary and scientific disciplines. It has also aimed to offer students an opportunity to learn more about the Book Fair’s cultural program, and all the seminars, workshops and poetry readings lined up for this year.
