, Professor and anesthesia technology lecturer Mohamed Khairat Basiouni in association with Professor Sarwat Helmi, lecturer on the same program; Clinical Technology Department of the    Medical Applied Sciences College at Um Al-Qura University published a research on the most prestigious medical journal excelled in anesthesia and intensive care: the Indian Journal of Anesthesia; volume 60, issue 5, pages 337-342; May. 2016. The research came under the title “Learning and Performance of Endotracheal Intubation by the Colleges’ students; and Tracheal Intubation with Continuous Positive Airway Pressure Mask along with Direct laryngoscopy on the manikin.”

 

The significance of this research lies in applying the scientific research to the educational process in the Department. This in turn helps advance the educational outputs for the graduates. Similarly, this highlights the aim of the College in terms of constantly improving and developing the educational process, especially after all the programs of the College obtained the German international accreditation (2015-2020).  

 

Remarking about this breakthrough, the Head of the Clinical Technology Department, Prof. Basim Alsherief lauded the great support all the College’s departments receive from the President of the University, Prof. Bakri ibn Ma’atuq A’assas; and the Dean of the Medical Applied Sciences College, Prof. Ahmed ibn Mohamed A’ashi. Such support resulted in the achievements made, and are being made, by the College.
