Umm Al-Qura University has allocated an interactive exhibition for its first-year students for the academic year amounting to 15 thousand under the slogan of " Story of Success" to introduce programs and activities of the colleges of the new students, the services provided by the supportive deanships and related departments. In addition, the university ID is issued immediately for the students so as for them to start taking advantage of the various university services including; the central library, branch libraries in the colleges, services of the university medical center beside the participation in the extracurricular programs and other services.
It's worth mentioning here that the President of UQU Dr. Bakri bin M'atooq bin Bakri Assas has opened the new-students forum and the accompanying exhibition which took place at King Saud Historical Hall at the University campus in Abdyia and organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs. Present in the opening ceremony were UQU Vice President for Educational Affairs Dr. Abdul-Aziz bin Rashad Al-Sorouji, UQU Vice President for Academic Development and Community Service who serves also as the acting UQU Vice President for Business and Innovation Dr. Hani bin Osman Ghazi, the Deans of the Colleges and Departments' Directors.
In his opening speech, Dr. Assas congratulated the first-year students and wished them all success in their scientific and practical life in serving their religion and then their country. He urged the new students to take advantage of the potentials and university services provided by our wise leadership. He added that the forum and the accompanying exhibition are intended to help the new students taking advantage of the services provided by the university and learn about their rights and duties pointing out that attending the forum's activities will help students achieve excellence in their university march.
After cutting the ribbon, Dr. Assas toured the pavilions of the exhibition and the interactive theatre on which the university colleges and programs are introduced to students. Then he toured pavilions of students clubs, colleges, supportive deanships and relevant departments.
After that, Dr. Assas installed the first mold of the Saudi green flag including more than 2000 flags to be installed by new students to show their loyalty and love to their country.
For his part, the UQU Vice President for Educational Affairs Dr. Abdul-Aziz Al-Sorouji said: in line with the directives of the UQU President Dr. Bakri Assas the UQU Vice Presidency for Educational Affairs preserved every year on receiving the new students who joined the different colleges of the university through the introductive program on the university life pointing out that the forum is intended to educate students and make them aware of their duties and rights in the university.
Within the same vein, the Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Amro bin Taha Al-Saggaf said his deanship has broadcasted more than 600 thousand awareness messages to new male and female students on the different websites and social media channels. These messages he said address various important sides in the student march including; the awareness, academic and counseling sides which will contribute to preparing students psychologically to start new study phase full of activity, seriousness, and diligence.
He called upon all students to attend the programs and activities to be provided by the Deanship during this forum which will be divided into two periods from 9:00 AM to 1: 00 PM for male students and from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM for female students.

Concluding his speech, Dr. Al-Saggaf lauded the support and directives of UQU President Dr. Bakri Assas and the keenness of the UQU Vice President for Educational Affairs Dr. Abdul-Aziz Al-Sorouji and his followup of the Deanship works, the thing which contributed to making these works come out in the proper way required by the University. He also lauded cooperation of all colleges and supportive deanships and the relevant departments.
