UQU Vice President for Graduate Studies Inaugurates the Educational Leaders Forum

On behalf of the UQU President, Dr. Bakri bin Maatooq Assas, the Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Thamer bin Hemdan al-Harbi, inaugurated a forum organized under the theme: "Educational Leaders Forum Inspired by Saudi Vision 2030". Held on Tuesday, Rajab 26, 1437H, the forum aimed for change, and for coping with the cultural, scientific and professional developments, as well as achieving integration between pre-university and higher education.

The forum was organized by the College of Education, as represented by the college's Department of Educational Management and Planning. It was attended by the Dean of Education College, on behalf of Director of Education in Makkah, as well as vice deans of the college and education officials in Makkah. The forum was held at the Grand Auditorium of the College of Education.

After initiating the ceremony with a Quranic recitation, the forum kicked off. Introducers of the forum were Dr. Abdullah al-Zahrani, head of Educational Management and Planning Department, Prof. Hashim Hariri, and Prof. Farid al-Ghamdi.

The forum, that targeted over 200 educational leaders, touched upon multiple topics relating to qualifying educational leaders, contemporary challenges, anticipating the future of education, and the role of local institutions (public and private) in raising students' awareness of such concepts as security, intellectual protection and leadership. It followed that workshop, in which educational and academic officials participated, were organized in six rooms.

This program comes in line with the Saudi Vision 2030, by activating partnership between educational leaders in the pre-university education and higher education.

The department has planned to hold more and more seminars and workshops over the coming period for educational leaders, with a view to bringing into reality the desired outcomes.

As the forum drew to a close, the UQU Vice President for Graduate Studies and Dean of Education College honored the participants.
