The President of Umm Al Qura University (UQU), Dr. Bakri Bin M'atoog Bin Bakri Assas, sent his greetings in his name and on behalf of the University employees to His Excellency the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques; Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, and to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud the Minister of Interior and Head of the Hajj Supreme Committee and the higher board of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Researches. He also sent his congratulations to Crwon Prince Khalid Al Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Emir of Makkah and advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and head of Hajj Commission; and to AbdulAziz bin Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Emir of Maddina and head of Hajj Commission in Madina. The congratulations were for the exceeding success of the Hajj season this year.
The University President asserted that the success achieved this year is the result of the co-operations of all sectors and governmental bodies that participated in providing services for pilgrims, under the guidance and supervision of the Custodian of the Two Holly Mosques, his Crown Prince and government officials. The success was not to be achieved without the aids, supplies, and human and material resources provided by the Leadership to reach this extraordinary success in organizing Hajj season in such manner.
Dr. Assas pointed out that general scene of Hajj and its related matters represents the challenges that the Kingdom confronts with all its capabilities and resources. The leadership and the people of KSA exert their efforts for the safety and luxury of the pilgrims. He also commended the role played by the civil defense personnel and the sectors of the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Defense, and The National Guard, in addition to all other participating bodies that exerted great efforts to realize the aim of serving the pilgrims perfectly.
The Persident also signaled that the university participates annually with all governmental bodies through the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research by conducting scientific researches and studies during the season to develop the services provided for the pilgrims. Additionally, the medical teams at the College of Medicine participates in volunteering work during the Hajj season. Eventually, the President wished the success and progress to the Kingdom and to aid the sage Leadership for the good of the country and all Muslims.
