President of Umm Al-Qura University Dr. Bakri bin M'atooq bin Bakri Assas will open the annual researchers meeting for this year's Hajj Season organized by the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Researches on Tuesday Dhul-Qe'dah 23, 1438 H at the Heritage Hall at the Institute's Headquarters in Aziza campus. The event will be attended by the Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Mohamed bin Saleh Bentin and the parties relevant to Hajj and Umrah services from the public and private sectors. The meeting is intended to discuss and review studies and researches to be conducted by the Institute during Dhul-Hijjah amounted to 40 studies and programs with the participation of 50 researchers.
Meanwhile, Dr. Assas lauded the support attached to the Institute by the wise leadership to conduct research studies related to safety of the pilgrims and visitors of the Prophet's Mosque indicating that the Institute carries out more than 80 scientific studies and programs on annual bases in the aspects related to health and safety of pilgrims through the annual meeting patronized by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz in addition to the seasonal meetings dedicated foe Ramadan and Hajj seasons.
He expressed his hope for the meeting dedicated to discuss issues related to urban and engineering activities, administrative and humanitarian studies, media researches in addition to the information, scientific, environmental and health services to come up with recommendations serving the works of Hajj and Umrah and visiting of the Prophet’s Mosque, with the aim of making the Hajj and its services a model and unique example reflecting the blessed efforts and work provided by the Kingdom for the sake of the pilgrims and visitors of the Prophet's Mosque in line with the National Transformation plan 2020 and according to the Kingdom Vision 2030. He then lauded the efforts exerted by the Dean of Custodian of Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research Dr. Sami bin Yassin Barhamain and all the researchers of the Institute.
Within the same vein, the Dean of Custodian of Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research Dr. Sami bin Yassin Barhamain lauded the support provided by the UQU President Dr. Bakri Assas for the activities and programs of the Institute which would predict challenges that may disturb pilgrims and visitors of the prophet's Mosques and submit recommendations in this regard to the decision makers. He added that the Institute will carry out 40 scientific studies and programs during this year's Hajj season in Makkah and Madinah in the different research in the administrative, humanitarian, environmental, health, urban, engineering, media, information and technology fields.
He went on to add that these studies will be carried out by 50 researchers in addition to 510 students explaining that these researches are reckoned research projects and carious programs conducted by the Institute annually during the month of Dhul-Hijjah. He wished for the meeting to come up with recommendations keeping pace with the system of services provided by the wise leadership for the pilgrims and visitors of the Prophet's Mosques.
