UQU President Approves Admission Results for 15 Thousand Male and Female Students

President of Umm Al-Qura university Dr. Bakri bin M'atooq bin Bakri Assas approved admission results for the coming academic year 1438/1439 H for 15381 students at the university's main campus in Makah and its branches in Jamoum, Al-Lith, Adhm and Al-Qunfudhah via the direct admission and the three tracks of the preparatory year (the medical track for the medical and health colleges, engineering track for the colleges of engineering and Islamic architecture excluding the department of Islamic architecture, and all the departments of the college of computer, and the administrative track for the College of administrative sciences). This came during  the meeting he held with the Dean of Admission and Registration Dr. Hashim Al-Samadani and the Vice Dean of Admission and Registration Dr. Khalid Al-Thaqafi, today Monday Dhul-Qe'dah 1, 1438 H.      

Dr. Assas hailed the support by the government, which has enabled UQU to prepare classrooms and labs in accordance with the highest specifications and standards adopted in education. This will enhance learning outputs of graduates who will avail the labor market of their all acquired skills to serve their homeland and community. He also applauded Prince Khaled Al Faisal’s support and follow-up of the admission process and the university’s programs. In addition, Dr. Assas commended the Education Minister Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Issa for his directives whereby UQU has secured the excellence in various fields. He also congratulated the candidates for admission to the university for coming academic year 1438/1439 H wishing them all success.  


 “All the technological and human potentials are used for admission to the academic year 1436-1439A.H via the university’s unified online portal,” added Dr. Assas, “Admission applications were received based on the plan approved by the Supreme Committee for Admission, where admission stages were adopted according to applicable rules and regulations. Admission was open to all the B.A. programs offered by the university, including direct admission to theoretical specializations, the Preparatory Year program in medical, scientific and administrative tracks, the preparatory and qualification year evening program, diplomas offered by community colleges, community service and continuing education; at UQU Makkah headquarter and its branches at Jamoum, Al-Lith, Adhm and Al-Qunfudhah amounting to more than 225 programs.” He also hailed the endeavors of Vice-President for Educational Affairs Abdul-Aziz bin Rashad Al-Srouji, Dean of Admission and Registration Dr. Hashim Al-Samadani, and all their teams.


He further explained that there is a coordination committee between the seven universities  of the western region including universities, Umm Al-Qura, King Abdul-Aziz in Jeddah, Al-Baha, Taif Taibah and Islamic Universities in Al-Medina to avoid double admission in these universities and provide opportunities for as many students as possible. He added that while conforming admission, student must select only one university from these seven universities and when students desire is confirmed his admission to the other universities in the region will be cancelled.   

 

For his part, the Dean of Admission and Registration Dr. Hashim Al-Samadani called upon all students to enter via the unified admission portal and review results of the admission for the academic year 1438/1439 H and confirm their specialization starting from Friday Dhul-Qe'dah 5, 1438 h based on the desire they have entered. In addition, Dr. Al-Samadani stressed, “After that, non-admitted applicants will have another opportunity to apply through the preparatory and qualification year evening program from 14 to 21/11/1438 A.H. Later, results will be announced and nomination for a specialization will be confirmed from 28/11 to 04/12/1438 A.H.” Then, he wished every success for students seeking admission at UQU this academic year. Finally, Dr. Al-Samadani expressed his thanks to Dr. Assas for his support, while noting the efforts of all admission teams to make it successful.
