 During Eid Greeting Ceremony, UQU President: Admission Results to be Announced at the Beginning of Dhul-Qe'dah via Text Messages

President of Umm Al-Qura University Dr. Bakri bin M'atooq bin Bakri Assas revealed that admission results for the candidates applied for the academic year 1438/1439 H through the unified admission portal at the university main campus in Makkah as well as its branches in Jamoum, Al-Lith, Al-Qunfudhah and Adhm, will declared in the period from Dhul-Qe'dah 1-4, 1438 H via text messages to be sent to the male and female applicants.    

 

This came during the Eid Greeting Ceremony organized by Public Relations and Media Department at King Abdul-Aziz Historic Hall at the university campus in Abdyia and Al-Jawhara Hall at the females section on Sunday Shawal 15, 1438 H. Present in the ceremony were UQU Vice President Dr. Yassir bin Suleiman Shoushou, UQU Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Dr. Thamir bin Hamdan Al-Harbi, UQU Vice President for Branches Dr. Abdul-Majeed bin Saeed Al-Ghamdi, Dean of University Studies for Girls Dr. Hala bint Saeed Al-Amoudi, Dean of Colleges and Supportive Deanships, Faculty Members and university male and female employees.

  

He said that admission this year takes place through several electronic stages starting from data registry until completing admission process adding that some colleges will start direct admission this year including; theoretical colleges, preparatory year program with its administrative, scientific and medical tracks, diploma programs of the community college and community service and continuing education. He went on to add with its more than 199 academic departments, UQU offers over 225 academic fields in line with labor market requirements and the Kingdom’s 2030 Vision, wishing all success to all applicants.     

 

Meanwhile, Dr. Assas congratulated everyone on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr and prayed Allah the almighty to return this occasion for Arab and Muslim nations with good and blessing and to accept everyone's fasting and prayers. 

 

For his part, Dean of Admission and Registration Dr. Hashim Al-Samadani said that admission stage for the academic year 1438 H has completed and that they have received 31 thousand e-applications and 5200 thousand scholarship applications. "This stage is dedicated for submitting applications and selecting specialization, while in the second stage the applicants will be interviewed as stipulated in the period from Shawal 15 to 19, 1438 H. After that, results will be announced and nominations will be confirmed by the applicants via the admission portal  from Dhul-Qe'dah 1-5, 1438 H", Dr. Al-Samadani expounded noting that applicants admitted for the preparatory year will sit for a placement test from Dhul-Qe'dah 21 to 23, 1438 H.    

   

In addition, Dr. Al-Samadani stressed, “After that, non-admitted applicants will have another opportunity to apply through the preparatory and qualification year evening program from  Dhul-Qe'dah 14 to 21, 1438H. Later, results will be announced and nomination for  specializations will be confirmed from Dhul-Qe'dah 28 until Dhul-Hijjah 4, 1438 H .” Then, he wished every success for students seeking admission at UQU this academic year. He stressed the importance to comply with admission dates via the unified online portal, which have been detailed in the admission manual published on the university’s website. Finally, Dr. Al-Samadani expressed his thanks to Dr. Assas for his support, while noting the efforts of all admission teams to make it successful.

 


After that, the faculty member in the college of education Dr. Fareed Al-Ghamdi addressed the audience on the importance of making creative minds depending on our male and female students and investing their talents in such manner which will have benefits to their religion and nation praying Allah the almighty to accept good deeds of everyone.
