On his own behalf, and on behalf of the vice deans, deans and all UQU affiliates, Dr. Bakri M. Assas, the UQU President, has expressed profound congratulations to HRH Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, on the occasion of naming him crown prince, deputy premiere and minister of defense. Dr. Assas, in his own right, and on behalf of the UQU affiliates, pledged allegiance to HRH the Crown Prince, in accordance with the Quran and Sunnah, and to show submission and obedience in times of ease and difficulty, fortune and adversity. Meanwhile, he paid for Allah Almighty to support and guide him for the service of his religion, king and homeland.

Dr. Assas stressed that by choosing HRH Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz to be the new Crown Prince, after getting 31 out of 34 votes of the Allegiance Committee, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has definitely chosen a worthy successor to a great predecessor. He shed light on the good qualities and traits that make Prince Muhammad different, and the leadership skills he's acquired through the leading posts he's assumed till he became Deputy of the Crown Prince. This, according to Dr. Assas, is well manifested in his prudent management of several issues, most notably the economic and developmental files, let alone his colossal contribution to the Saudi Vision 2030. In doing so, Dr. Assas added, Prince Muhammad bin Salman realize the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to transform the Kingdom into a new stage, covering all walks of life, placing particular emphasis on the economic aspect, income diversification, and private sector participation in realizing the Saudi Vision 2030, in pursuit of prosperity of our beloved country, and - Allah willing - bringing about a paradigm shift over the upcoming decades.

In the meantime, the UQU President, Dr. Bakri Assas, valued the strenuous efforts exerted by HRH Muhammad bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz for the sake of our country and citizens, and for preserving the Kingdom's safety and stability over the past years. He placed particular emphasis on his adoption of the battle of terrorism, which he managed both wisely and potently.

 Concluding his statement, Dr. Assas prayed for Almighty Allah to protect the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, confer health and well-being upon him, make HRH Prince Muhammad bin Salman a good support to him, and to perpetuate the Kingdom's safety, security, stability and prosperity.
