President of Umm Al-Qura University Dr. Bakri bin M'atooq bin Bakri Assas viewed graduation projects of the students of the Islamic architecture department at the College of Engineering and Islamic Architecture for the pre-graduation phase amounting to 96 projects including; tourism villages, hospitals, transportation stations, exhibitions, administrative buildings, museums, consulates, hotels, and university branches in the presence of UQU Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Dr. Thamir bin Hamdan Al-Harbi, Dean of College of Engineering and Islamic Architecture Dr. Hamza Ghulman, Head of Islamic Architecture Department Dr. Ibrahim Bukhari and members of the teaching staff.
Dr. Assas listened to the explanations made by the students of the Islamic Architecture Department for these projects and the main things they have adopted to designs these projects. He then lauded the projects, the role of the college represented by the Department of Islamic Architecture and the efforts made by the students to achieve these projects which are no less- in terms of architectural designs- than works of the major consultancy and engineering offices working in this field.
It should be mentioned here that these are considered graduation projects for the students of the Department of Islamic Architecture.
