King Salman Chair for Studies of Makkah History Issues New Book About Lightening in the Two Holy Mosques

President of Umm Al-Qura University Dr. Bakri bin M'atooq bin Bakri Assas, Chairman of the Supervisory Commission of King Salman Chair for Studies of Makkah History launched on Saturday Sha'ban 10, 1438 H at his office at the university campus in Abdyia,  the book of Lightening in the Two Holy Mosques. Present in the event were Supervisor General of the Chair Dr. Abdullah Al-Sharif and the author of the book Dr. Salih bin Mohamed Al-Rabei.     


On this occasion, Dr. Assas valued efforts and scientific production of the chair confirming  that the chair was established to serve the history of Makkah, thus reflecting the concern attached by the Custodian of the Two holy Mosques to the history, historians, science and culture in our beloved country. He then praised the role undertaken by the chair supervisor Dr.  Abdullah Al-Sharif and the researchers at the Chair for the research efforts undertaken by them to serve Makkah history.  

 

For his part, Dr. Al-Sharif said the book is the 21st  issue of the Chair's scientific researches  amounting to 55, pointing out that the book is focused on lightening in the Two Holy Mosques, its tools and locations since ancient times till reaching its peak in the Saudi State who embarked on developing lightening to serve the Two Holy Mosques and those heading  to them  within its services system dedicated for the Two Holy Mosques, pilgrims and Umrah Doers. He indicated that the book is a fruit of joint cooperation between Umm Al-Qura University and King Abdul-Aziz University.
