President of Umm Al-Qura University (UQU) Dr. Bakri bin M'atooq bin Bakri Assas paid an inspection visit on Thursday Sha'ban 1, 1438 H to scouts camp at the university campus in Abdyia including more than  90 boy scouts. He was accompanied by the Dean of Students Affairs Dr. Taha bin Amro Al-Saggaf and the Vice Deans.

 
During the visit, Dr. Assas checked on the components of scouts camp including; scouts tents and locations which host a number of social, cultural and training programs, besides the camp administration, training venues and works throughout the year, crisis management and the good characteristics that the scout must show while performing his duties, in addition to the friendship camps organized by the Scouts Club to exchange expertise with scouts in all regions of the Kingdom.

  
Concluding his visit, Dr. Assas expressed admiration for creative works of the scouts club he has seen branding the club as one of the outstanding clubs of the deanship of students affairs which contributes on annually to serving pilgrims and providing various social and cultural programs to hone students talents. He then lauded the Deanship of Students Affairs  and its Vice Deanships and all the staff for highlighting the  role of university student through the extracurricular activities.
