The Department of English's Academic Research Committee is pleased to announce an upcoming Roundtable Discussion entitled “Academic Promotion: Process and Challenges.”

Members from the Department's Academic Research Committee who have recently been promoted will share their insights and experiences regarding the promotion process. Attendees will learn:

the academic promotion process;

how to prepare all required documents for your promotion application;

best practices as well as the challenges in the context of academic promotions.
Target Audience: early or senior career assistant and associate professors, especially faculty considering applying for academic promotion. The session will be focused on promotion in the discipline of English Studies (with a focus on the subdisciplines of Linguistics and Translation) but will be open for anyone interested.
The panel will be convened by Dr. Mariam Alghamdi.
