The UQU College of Applied Medical Sciences in Al-Abdiyyah, in cooperation with the Central Blood Bank at the Department of Health in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, organized a campaign entitled, "A Few Drops of Your Blood Can Help a Life to Bloom". The campaign will last for three days, from Monday, 2 March, until Wednesday, 4 March, in King Abdul Aziz Historical Hall. It will held from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

The Dean of the College of Applied Medical Sciences, Dr. Muhammad Al-Karbi, explained that this campaign comes as part of the initiatives launched by the college for community partnership, in cooperation and coordination with the General Directorate of Health Affairs. This initiative will provide a mobile blood unit, consisting of six beds, to collect blood for donation. It will also comprise all the necessary blood preservation apparatuses and a donor screening unit.

Dr. Muhammad Al-Karbi invites all students and employees to participate in this campaign, which aims at promoting the culture of blood donation, in addition to encouraging the students to support the national campaign. Finally, the Dean of the College praised the support and interest shown by the UQU President, Dr. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, in all the activities and programs being undertaken by the college.
