Activities of the Warehouses Department 

  1. Supervising the enforcement of laws and decisions; what relates to the affairs of the University’s warehouse in terms of legal circulars; relevant entities as well; what is issued by the Ministry of Finance. 
  2. Estimating the annual need of different items in warehouses; coordinating with the other departments and units at the University; announcing a tender for stationery and office supplies, in addition to the tender for the University’s office furniture.  
  3. Following up work in warehouses; controlling their logistics; and inspecting them.
  4. Controlling the item card system in a way that ensures providing accurate data for inventory management.
  5. Providing means of security and safety in warehouses, and proposing any systems in a way that ensures the safety necessary for the University’s warehouses. 
  6. Developing an internal organization for warehouses and inventory in a way that ensures a continuous provision of items and achieves security and safety.  
  7. Developing a system for inventory segmentation and the suitable regulations for control over the use and return of fixed assets depending on the status of each item.
  8. Requesting the supply of items in a way that ensures covering any potential deficit according to the percentages determined for inventory and guaranteeing a continuous discharge of assets to the University’s sectors.
  9. Developing a system for simplifying warehouse procedures in all the functions of warehouses.
  10. Participating in the annual inventory work for the assets of warehouses in accordance with the law and the bylaws designed for this purpose.  
  11. Providing relevant entities with the warehouse data and information necessary, in the event of any deficit, damage, loss, or other occurrences.
  12. Participating in the different meetings and committees at the University, and making recommendations and suggestions toward the development of functions at the Department and its branches.
  13. Performing sales functions for the returned items determined to be sold by the Sales Committee, as well as any items being sold such as cars and other.
  1. Communicating with the various entities and sectors at the University for clarification and simplification as well as answering any queries pertaining to the functions of warehouses.
