A file can be opened when the request for opening a file is received from the entity to which the scholarship student is affiliated. The request should be enclosed with the required documents displayed on the ‘Forms’ web page at the Scholarship Department’s website. As stated in article 10 of the Scholarship and Training Regulations for University Employees, the original scholarship at home and abroad may be extended for one year for the master's degree, and two years for the doctorate and medical fellowships. A maximum of another year may be added for each stage, depending on the presentation of convincing justifications, the proposal of the supervisor, the recommendation of the department and the college councils, and the scholarship and training committee. As for scholarships abroad, the cultural counselor should agree with the supervisor's opinion about the study.
