In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
All praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds, and peace and blessings be upon the most honorable of all Prophets and Messengers, our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and companions.
To proceed to our topic:
I, the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs of the Joint First Year, seize the opportunity to welcome the students of the deanship in all its streams (health, nursing, scientific and administrative streams). We ask Allah to grant us all success.
We all know that the first year at college is an exciting experience which is full of enthusiasm. We all know the challenges any student goes through in this first year of university after graduating from general education. These challenges are all the more when the educational process is conducted online. However, this difficult situation, Allah willing, will end and study will resume in attendance.
During this stage, we learned much about distance learning and education, faced many challenges together, and, through this experience, acquired the skills and aptitudes to deal with the university environment and to continue the education process. And remember, as you are one of the future students, that you have to trust in Allah, the Almighty, and be sure that Allah does not waste the reward of those who do good. You should be rest assured that your deanship is committed to making the joint first year experience a success for you and that we will be successful, by the grace of Allah.
Moreover, we think it is time to give up comfort and ease and to realize that the more we strive, the more we will harvest. This matter goes without saying. On the page of the Joint First Year Deanship, you will find customized information for you at this stage. If you cannot find what you need, we will be there to make your next semester better. Remember that successful first-year students will become successful graduates of the university in the future, Allah willing.
Finally, I would like to greet all the academic staff members, who have been teaching more than 4 thousand students at the deanship this year, thereby occupying their place in an ever-changing world. I am excited to work in a dynamic, agile and effective manner with an exceptional, creative team of faculty and staff who are committed to enhancing the quality of learning and education. The most important responsibility we all have to fulfill is to make the first-year experience successful for every student entering the deanship. This is a duty and a trust. Peace be upon you!
