Overview:
The Department of Nursing Science and Research is one of the three departments of the College of Nursing. On Shaaban 10, 1435H, the UQU President issued resolution no. 133948, designating Dr. Hanan Ali Muhammad as the department supervisor.

By and large, the Department of Nursing Science and Research is considered as the embodiment of the college's vision, mission and objectives. The department, such as all other departments, does not offer a BSc degree, independent from the college. Rather, it participates by presenting a number of nursing and nursing-related courses: nursing physiology, human anatomy, biochemistry, pharmacology and drug calculation for nurses, nursing leadership and management, introduction to research, and nursing ethics. The faculty members, specialized in all nursing disciplines, and with various degrees, come from a myriad of countries: France, Pakistan, Jordan and Egypt, that is to be added to an elite of the TAs who have graduated from the college, the other UQU health colleges, as well as the other Saudi universities. Meanwhile, the department encourages TAs by offering them scholarships to obtain higher degrees from the world's most prestigious universities. Added to this, the department boasts its distinguished administrative staff.

Besides, the department offers training to students, allowing them to acquire practical experience in some courses, such as nursing anatomy, human physiology, biochemistry, pharmacology and drug calculation for nurses, and nursing leadership and management.
