Tasks of the Quality Committee at the Department of Engineering and Applied Sciences

  • Developing general quality assurance policies in the department and supervising their implementation.
  • Developing and approving the general policy for spreading the culture of quality within the department.
  • Supporting and enhancing efforts made to apply quality in the department, in cooperation with the college Quality Committee.
  • Approving the annual quality management report in the department.
  • Maintaining the concept of quality and spreading its culture at the department level.
  • Following up performance evaluation results in the department.
  • Supervising the implementation of evaluation and academic accreditation programs in the department.
  • Following up the preparation and implementation of the department's strategic and development plans.
  • Identifying the specialized training needs of academic staff members.
  • Encouraging members of the academic staff to participate in the courses, training programs, and workshops provided by the Deanship of Academic Development and Quality, as well as other bodies inside and outside the university.
  • Following upon the subjects referred to it with regard to development and quality.
