About the initiative:

Al-Leith University College launched an initiative entitled "Welcome to Pilgrims, Guests of Al-Rahman" at the third Makkah Cultural Forum as part of its community involvement. The initiative is also part of the strategic plan of Umm Al-Qura University, which actively seeks to participate in initiatives and programs stemming from Saudi Vision 2030. The goal of this initiative is in line with one of the goals of the main strategic plan of the university, which is social responsibility (participating actively in voluntary work and serving the community, pilgrims, and visitors).

Initiative description:

The program aims at activating the role of youth in Al-Leith governorate in welcoming, helping, and educating pilgrims.

Developmental goals of the initiative:

The goals of this initiative are as follows:

  • Welcoming pilgrims and giving them delight and happiness.
  • Spreading awareness of how to deal with the modern technology designed to serve pilgrims. This comes from the belief of Al-Leith University College in achieving the national transformation in developing the services offered to pilgrims.
  • Raising people's awareness about the importance of obtaining Hajj permits.
  • Developing a sense of social responsibility in the youth of the governorate.
