The department undertakes the following duties:

  • Studying the complaints submitted by the bodies inside the university regarding the violations committed by their affiliates.
  • Carrying out investigation work with university employees.
  • Ensuring that the investigations conducted for the deans with the academic staff members fulfill the formal elements, in addition to verifying the legality of the recommendations made by the investigator.

Operating procedures of the department:

The department receives complaints from various bodies, and then studies them to determine whether or not violations have been committed.

If it is proven that one of the affiliates of the university committed any violation that warrants referral for investigation, a report of the violations committed shall be prepared and submitted to the UQU President to refer the perpetrator of the violation to the competent investigation body. The competent investigation body responsible for investigating violations committed by the university affiliates differ as follows:

Article (83) of the Bylaws Regulating the Affairs of the Staff Members of Saudi Universities for the academic staff and the like.

In the event that the perpetrator of the violation is an employee, the views of the legal administration shall be submitted to the UQU President, after the completion of the investigation work, coupled with a recommendation commensurate with the gravity of the violation committed, in order for appropriate decisions to be taken.

In the event that the perpetrator of the violation is an academic staff member, the fulfillment of the investigation's formal elements shall be ensured and the legality of the recommendations made by the investigator shall be verified, then a report shall be submitted, coupled with the legal administration's views, to the UQU President for appropriate decisions to be taken.
