Overview

The Research and Development Administration prepares research, studies, and consulting with the aim to develop, improve and maintain the excellence of the deanship in terms of infrastructure, the human element and management.  It supervises the collection of data and information related to the deanship in order to carry out field surveys and construct questionnaires to assess and develop the policies, plans, and work of the deanship.  The Research and Development Administration consists of four departments working in an integrated manner to carry out the tasks entrusted to the administration. The supervisor of the administration is responsible for coordinating and following up the work with the other administrations of the vice-deanships in order to achieve the objectives of the operational plan. The administration also secures the work needs of the department and seeks to continuously follow up the work as well as assess the performance of the department's staff.  The administration includes the following departments:


Data and statistics Department

This department is entrusted with the following tasks:

  • Supervising collection of data and information related to the activity of the deanship within UQU in order to carry out field surveys and build questionnaires.
  • Communicating with various bodies in the deanship, exchanging data, and providing policymakers and decision makers within the deanship with the necessary information.
  • Following up the activities of the deanship and giving regular annual reports about them.

Studies and Consultations Department

This department is entrusted with the following tasks:

  • Supervising the preparation of studies that support achieving the strategic objectives of the deanship, and finding solutions for obstacles, as well as following up their implementation.
  • Carrying out consultations in the field of information technology that support and accomplish the university’s strategy.
  • Documenting and archiving the outputs of studies and consultations.

Research Department

This department is entrusted with the following tasks:

  • Supervising the preparation of research that support achieving the strategic objectives of the deanship, and finding solutions for obstacles, as well as following up their implementation.
  • Carrying out scientific research and research projects in the field of information technology that support and accomplish the university’s strategy.
  • Maintaining academic publishing and participating with scientific paper in local and international conferences.

Development and Assessment Department:

This department is entrusted with the following tasks:

  • Preparing plans to utilize the outputs of studies and consultations.
  • Preparing plans to utilize the outputs of research.
  • Following up the implementation of the outputs of research, studies, and consultations.
  • Assessing the results and outputs of research, studies, and consultations.
