Vision

The Quality and Academic Accreditation Unit seeks to become the trusted source and reference in implementation of standards of quality and academic accreditation for all members of the College.

Mission

 Promote culture of quality throughout different programs of the College and participate in developing it by implementing standards of total quality in academic and educational aspects, ensuring its continuity and monitoring effective performance by assessing strictly defined and steady performance indicators of performance substantiated with evidence and documents. The Unit also aims at providing the newest information and means by implementing the process of quality assurance, accreditation and training on how to use different means to meet the requirements that quality it to obtain academic accreditation at both the national and international levels.

Objectives

  • Adopt and apply principles of total quality to all activities of the College and its departments.
  • Set and implement plans and programs that guarantee achievement of the highest levels of performance and productivity in educational, administrative, organizational, financial and technical fields.
  • Meet requirements of obtaining academic accreditation and maintain it as per the highest national and international quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Establish a total quality management and assurance system and meet requirements for obtaining academic accreditation at the College and its departments along with meeting the requirements of implementation and success of quality and academic accreditation system.
  • Participate in spreading culture of quality along with implementing its programs and supervise this throughout the College.
  • Plan training programs for members of the College.
  • Provide support for staffs in the field of improving quality throughout the College.
  • Set good performance specifications, its measurement indicators and assessment mechanisms.
  • Prepare quantitative and qualitative databases necessary for monitoring and recording evidence, signs and indicators of departments' performance in all their duties as per the models of National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment.
  • Set a continuing comprehensive assessment of departments' performance in all the duties assigned to them.
  • Set a strategic plan for improving quality and supervise the strategic plans of the College and its departments along with preparing plans for development and improvement and following up their implementation and assessment.
  • Prepare reports on implementation of quality assurance system at the College and its departments.
  • Set a schedule for implementing processes of quality improvement and academic accreditation at the academic departments.
  • Follow up the progress of the activities of different departments' quality subcommittees as per the set schedule and assess their progress in the duties assigned to them and deal with any obstacles or barriers that may hinder such progress.
  • Coordinate the activities of the subcommittees and consolidate their efforts especially in duties, requirements, rules and procedures that should be unified throughout the College.
  • Discuss the issues referred to it and take necessary action to solve them.
  • Supervise all activities related to quality improvement and assurance and ensure its continuity at the academic departments.
  • Determine the external reference assessment indicators in view of which a department's quality level is assessed and build external partnerships with international entities to cooperate with them for advancing performance quality.
  • Follow up self-assessment studies regularly to determine weaknesses and strengths and required areas of improvement.
  • Supervise the efforts made to raise awareness among scientific departments of the requirements of institutional and program accreditation along with meeting all requirements necessary to enable different departments to obtain academic accreditation from national and international accreditation agencies.
  • Meet all the requirements of the National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment related to each department as per the standards and indicators set by the Commission.
  • Submit regular reports on work progress and accomplishments to the Head of the Quality Unit of the College.
  • Prepare accomplishment reports and submit them to the College's dean and the College council.
