Program Overview:

The program is designed to train a given faculty member by the Deanship of e-Learning and Distance Education to empower him to train colleagues within the college/institute on the e-learning Management Systems adopted at the university. This is projected to streamline effective communication between the Deanship on the one hand, and the college/Institute's faculty members and students on the other hand.

Program Objectives:

  • Qualify UQU e-learning leaders;
  • Promote the culture of e-learning and distance education;
  • Utilize various e-learning strategies and applications to achieve the desired educational objectives and develop quality learning outcomes;
  • Offer practical application of tools and knowledge to develop a specific project;
  • Promote the trainer's ability to manage training sessions professionally, and master presentation skills; and
  • Identify the trainees’ psychological aspects and mental images, and how to correct them during the course.

Qualifying Candidates for the Certified Trainer Program:

A training program is provided for candidates of the Certified Trainer Program. It is made up of a 'Basics Course', covering the principles of e-learning and the LMS adopted by the university. It is followed by a series of more specific courses. That's to be added to organization skills; each candidate is required to organize a Basics Course for faculty and another for students.
