Digital Production Department:

The Digital Production department is concerned with production and development of digital educational objects and interactive curricula. It seeks to adopt Quality Matters standards in designing accredited electronic educational curricula.

Main Tasks:

  1. Making future action plans for the Digital Production Management divisions based on the deanship new strategic vision;
  2. Following up on performing tasks, and reporting deanship progress on a regular basis;
  3. Presiding over coordination meetings of the Digital Production Management divisions;
  4. Directly supervising the department work process;
  5. Continually following up on staff performance at Digital Production Management department and submitting reports of assessment and recommendation to the deanship;
  6. Offering feedback on any staff member designated for a post at any of the Digital Production Management department's divisions;
  7. Securing work supplies and requirements for department's divisions;
  8. Undertaking any other tasks assigned to it.

 

The department comprises the following divisions:

  1. Instructional Design

Tasks:

  1. Undertaking instructional design work within the framework of developing electronic curricula, based on an educational scenario as follows:
  2. b.Assisting in identifying, preparing and producing the required educational resources;c.
  3. Offering the needed advice for a good presentation of content;d.
  4. Helping in writing the proper educational objectives;e.
  5. Setting the proper sequence for the content;f.
  6. Identifying the proper education and learning strategies for curricula;
  7. Assisting in preparation of assessment tools for students of electronic curricula;
  8.   Archiving all productions of the department.

 

2- Multimedia Division:

Tasks:

  1. Designing and developing the curricula interface;
  2. Preparing a visualization of the required graphics and designs;
  3. Designing appealing demos for the user
  4. Designing still and animated graphics;
  5. Designing brochures and posters for the deanship;
  6. Archiving all productions of the department;
  7. Undertaking any other tasks assigned to it.

 

3- Content Development Division:

Tasks:

  1. Preparing curricula in the proper format to be uploaded on the E-learning system;
  2. Developing proper user interface for educational content;
  3. Implementing and developing interactive files through the appropriate software;
  4. Putting all curriculum items together in the final product;
  5. Undertaking any other tasks assigned to it.

 

4-Quality Control Division:

Tasks:

  1. Ensuring quality of products at every stage of production;
  2. Ensuring quality of the final product;
  3. Ensuring applying of Quality Matters standards;
  4. Archiving all productions of the department;
  5. Undertaking any other tasks assigned to it.

 

5-Application and Activation Division

Tasks:

  1. Providing continual technical support for the electronic curricula productions;
  2. Following up on activating curricula on
  3. Keeping up with the regular curricula updates;
  4. Receiving curricula in pre-production stage and verifying their validity for production;
  5. Receiving curricula in pre-production stage and verifying their validity for production and defining interactivity level;
  6. Proposing training courses and workshops in instructional design, electronic authoring programs, and electronic curricula that target faculty members and students;
  7. Undertaking any other tasks assigned to it.
