E-Learning has become the keyword for all development programs for the educational process in light of the major development in communication and information technologies and increased awareness of importance of continuous training, learning and education amid a political climate appropriate for continuous enhancement of educational outputs.

The KSA successful completion of building the information and knowledge community burdened us with greater responsibility for providing the electronic content and keeping up with the state of the art technologies in the education and training field, thus, our educational institutions have adopted digital learning conversion as one of the most important educational policies.

Umm al-Qura University seeks to keep up with the state of the art developments in communication and information technologies to support better development of E-learning and distance education technologies so the KSA fast-paced development needs can be satisfied.

This comes as part of UQU strategic objectives which are derived from the KSA 2030 Vision.

We hope, through this position, to figure out the most important scientific activities and support services available at UQU through our deanship.

In addition, we promise to double efforts and endeavor in terms of instructions of UQU leadership and as part of the economic and development map outlined by our wise ruler within the framework of 2030 Vision. We endeavor through our positions to build capabilities in light of the National Transformation Program.

Dr. Khalid bin Hatim Al-Mutairi
