In the name of Allah, the most merciful, the most compassionate. Peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammed, the finest of all creatures and the best teacher, and upon all his family and companions.

I would like to welcome you to the Environmental Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, Al-Leith Governorate, UQU, which is one of the most recent and most prominent majors introduced in KSA, as it was introduced in 1434 H and opened for study in 1435/1436 H.

Environmental Engineering Department employs an elite group of faculty members and their assistants, both from within KSA and abroad, who hold PhDs and MAs from renowned international universities. As efficient and experienced as they are, they developed a distinguished and modern study plan according to international quality standards. They exert their utmost efforts in order to develop an environment engineer who is qualified both scientifically and practically and is capable of using engineering methods to solve environmental problems, protect air, water and soil, deal with local and international environmental issues and help improve the environment.

Since environmental engineering is a new major in KSA, the environmental engineering department gains the care and protection of the faculty of engineering deanship in Al-Leith, as a facet of UQU support of progress and excellence in promising engineering majors that are in line with global development, the requirements of labor market and development plans.

We are keen to work hard in developing distinctive graduates, in establishing partnerships with parties that attract the graduates of this department to work with them and in developing training programs for workers in the concerned engineering sectors and conducting researches to solve many environmental issues.

May Allah grant our students success in their study and their future aspirations and more success for all those who played a role in the department’s performance and development.
