Field Training Procedures

Field Training Procedures

First: Registration of the student teachers who have completed all their theoretical courses, in collaboration with the Deanship of Admission and Registration.

Second: Distribution of the student teachers and their supervisors as per the system agreed upon between the college and the Ministry of Education, according to the following:

  1. Supervisor’s preference to select the training schools before the beginning of the academic semester, in coordination with the Field Training Unit.
  2. Student teacher’s preference to select the residential area in their Field Training Application.
  3. The Department of Education’s selection of training schools, as the Field Training Unit and the Department of Education agreed to consider the following aspects when selecting the training schools:

a. The Field Training Unit selects the schools/centers/institutes in which the student wishes to conduct their training.

b. The selected schools/centers/institutes should be located in the educational areas of the student’s residential area, as much as possible.

c. The Field Training Unit should consider the size of the school/center/institute, the number of classrooms, and the groups of trainees in each of them.

Third: Preparation of the student teachers for the teaching process by holding comprehensive meetings with the student teachers’ supervisors during the first week of each semester. Students must attend the preparation meeting in which the training objectives, requirements, procedures, and necessary guidelines are presented and discussed.
